PORTLAND – Portland saw their 10 point fourth quarter lead evaporate relatively quickly Saturday night at the hands of Springfield as the Yellow Jackets fought for a 46-44 victory.

With 20 seconds remaining and the game tied at 44 following a Montez Bradley steal and layup, Springfield’s Caleb Chapman drove middle, pulling up for THE game-winning shot over the outstretched Panthers defense. Despite multiple hands in his face, Chapman got his shot to fall with 2.6 seconds remaining.

Bradley’s last second heave towards the goal fell short, dropping Portland to 6-10 overall.
