 Updated

Led by a six-touchdown performance from Jackson Mapes, the White House Heritage Patriots improved to 5-1 after a 41-27 win on the road at Portland in a pivotal Region 5-4A matchup.

The Patriots were in control throughout the first three quarters, jumping out to a commanding 35-7 lead before Portland added several touchdowns in the fourth.

“We knew that Portland was going to play tough and we had to come out with enthusiasm and just get after it,” White House Heritage coach Stetson Dickerson said. “Our guys came out in the first half and just played really well in all three phases. We know what our kids are capable of and they played their tails off tonight.”
